The present Ochi’ Idoma Comrade Pst Elaigwu, Odogbo Obagaji John emerged as the new royal father of the Idoma nation in December 2021 after his predecessor, Och’Idoma IV, Dr Elias Obekpa, embarked on a hunting expedition. He was born on 27th March 1969 as the 5th child in the family of Mr ELAIGWU EKOJA in Obagaji, the headquarters of AGATU local government of Idoma in Benue State. He studied B.Sc (Hons) in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and a Master in Business Administration from Benue State University. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from National Teacher Institute, an Msc Accounting and Finance from Nasarawa State University, and a PhD (in view) in Accounting from Nasarawa State University. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCITN), a Fellow of the Certified National Accountants of Nigeria (FCNA), and an Associate member of the Nigeria Institute of Management.

Comrade Pst Elaigwu is a Group Pastor (Penticost Group) and a Deeper Life Bible Church pastor. He worked with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) for 23 years and became Assistant Director.
